 In most cases, you are legally allowed to cut back tree branches that overhang your boundary, provided the work is carried out correctly.

You may only cut branches back to the boundary line, and all work must be done from your own property. You must not cross the boundary or cause damage that could harm or kill the tree.

 As best practice, we always recommend discussing the work with your neighbour beforehand 

 In the UK, tree and hedge work must comply with wildlife protection laws. Birds, their nests, and eggs are legally protected, and work must not disturb active nests. Bats and their roosts are also protected at all times. Before work begins, trees should be checked for signs of wildlife, and work may need to be delayed if protected species are present.

 The stump can be left to decay naturally, removed by grinding, or treated with eco plugs to prevent regrowth.

Yes. All branches, logs, and green waste are removed from site and disposed of responsibly once the work is completed. We always leave your garden clean and tidy. If you would like wood chippings or logs left on your property for garden use or firewood, just let us know in advance.
